Sometimes around Goce [Delchev] we felt like one, socialists,
anarchists and nationalists, because we thought and acted only as
Macedonians, everyone next to another and everyone as one.


Macedonia for the Macedonians! This idea, nevertheless, remained a Bulgarian idea until it disappeared even among the Bulgarians. Neither the Greeks, nor the Turks, nor any other nationality in Macedonia accepted that slogan.
