Deltcheff, the creator of the Macedonian revolutionary organization, has been killed in a skirmish at Panitza. It is considered that his death is likely to paralyse the revolutionary movement.
Last year a split in the Macedonian Committee took place. The members of the old committee under Mr Saraffof were accused of working rather for Bulgarian expansion than for the independence of Macedonia. A new committee was formed which frankly proclaimed Macedonian independence to be its aim. Mr Deltcheff was the leader of this section. …”
